Order Aadhaar PVC Card Online: Complete Guide
The Aadhaar PVC card is a durable, wallet-sized (credit-card-sized) version of your Aadhaar, printed on polyvinyl chloride instead of paper. It carries the same details — name, photo, Aadhaar number, QR code — plus security features like a hologram, ghost image, guilloche pattern, and a digitally signed secure QR code for offline verification. You can order it online and have it delivered to your Aadhaar-registered address.
How to order the PVC card — step by step
Open the order page
Go to myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in and click Order Aadhaar PVC Card.
Enter your Aadhaar / VID
Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number, 16-digit Virtual ID, or 28-digit Enrolment ID, plus the captcha code, and click Send OTP.
Verify the OTP
Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number. (If your mobile is not registered, choose the “mobile number not registered” option and use an alternate number for the OTP — note that the card preview is only shown when using the registered number.)
Check the preview and pay
Verify the preview of your details, then pay ₹50 online via card, net banking, or UPI.
Save your SRN
After payment you receive a 28-digit Service Request Number (SRN) by SMS. Save it — this is your tracking number.
Track your PVC card order
On the myAadhaar portal, open “Check Aadhaar PVC Card Order Status” and enter your SRN. The card is printed by UIDAI's vendor and dispatched by speed post to the address in your Aadhaar record — it typically takes a few weeks from ordering to delivery, so order well before you need it.
Important notes
- The PVC card is delivered to the address already in your Aadhaar record. If you have moved, update your address first.
- One person can order PVC cards for the whole family using a single mobile number for OTPs.
- The PVC card is equally valid as the paper Aadhaar letter — it is simply more durable and easier to carry.
- Never pay anyone more than ₹50 or use unofficial “PVC card” websites — orders happen only on UIDAI's portal.
